At TCLA, we believe teachers should be supported in their professional growth. We provide a range of training workshops to build teacher knowledge, skills and practice. 

Vacation Training Series

To ensure quality teaching, mandatory training must be completed by teaching staff annually. These training sessions are conducted by university lecturers in the field of Early Childhood Education.

TCLA's "I teach" series

This TCLA program allows teachers to strengthen their practise through collaborative learning.  Teacher discussions along with management and teacher presentations facilitate peer to peer learning.

Ministry of Education/NAEYC training

TCLA staff attends July-August Professional Development Workshop annually. Our administrator is also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (USA) and attends annual conference.
